Back to school is often overlooked as a time of need for struggling families. Please consider making a donation of clothes and/or food to the Scarborough Center for Healthy Communities (SCHC).

SCHC provides a number of services to the community, including Meals-on-Wheels, home support, transportation and family support programs, medical assistance through clinics, youth programs and have a multitude of social support programs including a food ...and clothing bank.

As we know, protein is very important and can sometimes be lacking in diets. So the best thing to give is non-perishable proteins (Canned meats, peanut butter, beans etc), followed by canned fruits & vegetables and pastas. Baby food & diapers are also greatly appreciated.

The food bank is run out of a apartment building at 4100 Lawrence avenue East, right here in Scarborough.
